Happy birthday, dad

Punctuality isn't really my thing. Happy birthday, nonetheless. I got you an African child, which seems to be the gift of the year. He's been shipped, but I may have forgotten to punch air holes in the box. Details aren't really my thing either.

Oh come on, can't we keep him? When was the last time people besides me compared you to Angelina or Madonna?

Worth noting...

There are more chickens than people in the world.

Hi John! Happy February! How sad is it that I am excited for it to be February because there are 3 less days this month, so that means I get a paycheck 3 days earlier than usual. Please don't judge.

Not much new to report here. I had dinner in NYC last weekend at this Greek restaurant and Woody Allen was sitting a few tables away. Or perhaps just an odd looking man with unnecessarily over-sized glasses and unruly hair. Either way, it was mildly exciting.

Things at work are good aside from my team lead who continues to push the envelope in terms of appropriate office behavior. He has been known to walk behind me and moan salaciously, "God, I just want to GRAB that!". And then when I turn around in horror, he points innocently to my scarf that is hanging behind me as I walk. Gross.

I'm looking forward to the next TWPR. Do they have a TW nutella? That might be worth investing in - its really expensive to import the real stuff.

Well, I've covered enough useless ground here. I hope Omar emerges at some point. Maybe its just mating season and he's off sowing his wild oats. Atta boy.

Happy Groundhog Day! Yes I believe there will be an early spring here in Mauritania, namely because there was never a winter. And instead of embracing the glory of Punxsutawney Phil, Mauritanians choose to look at me like I'm crazy. It's such a simple concept: On Feb. 2, a rodent in PA predicts the next 6 weeks of weather via his shadow. It's practically innate knowledge. It'll catch on eventually.
